love love love these cuban snowflake tiles!  these are made by Cuban Tropical Tiles located in Miami. 

now that i'm looking at the picture again, i totally love everything about this kitchen! minus the open shelving, which scares the beejeezes out of me.  =)

thomas paul rug

just read that when a person walks in a room 30% of what they see is the rug.  considering i have zero rugs, this really:
1. makes me want one - a pretty one
2. freaks me out.  i mean 30% is a ton!  plus, how long do people keep rugs?  FOREVER!

the only solution is to get this rug that i saw forever ago online and fell in love with.  only problem... no clue where it's from.

in my months of rug hunting i've come across this very similar one from Thomas Paul, which i love.

maybe the green one would be better considering the brown dog hair that is taking over the house...

i wish i could find a couple more to post, but apparently i'm a rug snob.

you think with all of this time off and sitting on the couch i would post more.  not so much.  but i did remember today of the wonderful "me" room that Emily Henderson created on last season's HGTV Design Star.  love it!  and it totally makes me want to buy a green couch.  love green.

my favorite office

i found this picture online about 2 years ago and it remains my favorite office ever!  it's not even an office as much as it is a wall.  which is perfect considering i've never had a whole room dedicated as an office.
